Riverside Pediatrics is located on the water in Cos Cob, Connecticut in beautiful Beacon Point Marina. Our unique location allows children to enjoy watching boats from our exam room windows! Our office was specifically designed by Dr. Beckman to meet the needs of patients and their parents. For Patients’ safety, there are separate sick and well exam rooms and waiting areas, and our office is “safety-proofed”. To keep patients entertained, we have a flat screen television showing popular children’s programs together with plenty of books and toys. Patients are also offered balloons, stickers and temporary “tattoos” after visits. We have unlimited free parking directly in front of the building.

All of our pediatricians are board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and have years of experience in private practice. We advise you to select a primary pediatrician to perform physicals and sick visits whenever possible. Our physicians feel that this will enable them to get to know your child well, which allows for more personalized and seamless care. Each pediatrician at Riverside Pediatrics sees fewer than half the number of patients per day, and therefore spends more time face to face with patients, than almost any other local pediatrician. We offer thirty minute well child visits to fully evaluate your child. In every well check our pediatricians will review your child’s overall health, including growth, development, nutrition and safety, and will take time to thoroughly address all of your concerns. We understand that parents have questions and our pediatricians are happy to take the time to address them! Each member of our staff was hand selected to ensure that our patients will always be treated with kindness, compassion and competence.

The pediatricians at Riverside Pediatrics believe that accessibility, understanding and comfort, in addition to knowledge and skill, are the cornerstones for an exceptional pediatric practice. With the recent addition of Riverside Pediatrics After Hours, we offer the area’s most extensive office hours. We also offer helpful patient resources such as filling most prescription medications in the office and selling the most common pediatrician-recommended over-the-counter medications. We draw blood and perform most testing in our office. We even pierce ears! In our After Hours Clinic, we suture, staple and dermabond wounds and provide IV fluids. Additionally, we have a highly skilled board certified plastic surgeon available to close delicate wounds and a child psychologist for on- site behavioral consultations! With all of these services, Riverside Pediatrics offers the most comprehensive care of any pediatrics practice in the area.
